IDCG CHOOSES CRG WEST’S CHICAGO DATA CENTER FOR THE WORLD’S FIRST OTC INTEREST RATE SWAP EXCHANGE
Fiber-rich CRG West Chicago data center will provide an ideal environment for the International Derivatives Clearing Group’s futures venture
DENVER, CO – November 7, 2008 - CRG West is pleased to announce the addition of the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG) to its growing customer base in Chicago, Illinois. IDCG has deployed the world’s first over-the-counter interest rate swap exchange at the data center and peering provider’s location in the heart of Chicago’s downtown financial district.
International Derivatives Clearing Group, LLC (IDCG) is, through its subsidiary International Derivatives Clearinghouse, LLC, creating a central clearinghouse which will provide an efficient and transparent forum to clear and settle interest rate swap contracts and other fixed income derivatives contracts. The International Derivatives Clearinghouse has applied to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to be designated as a derivatives clearing organization.
