One Wilshire, in the heart of
downtown Los Angeles, is among the world's primary telecommunication
and network interconnection points. Given the density of network
providers and network service providers present within One Wilshire,
the building is a very logical location to host a neutral location
for tenants to interconnect their IP networks. After numerous
conferences and discussions with valued tenants within One Wilshire
and Market Post Tower, CRG West released our neutral packet Internet
exchange (Any2
Exchange) in 2005 as a utility built within CRG West meet-me-rooms
and data centers.
Since 2005 the Any2
Exchange has grown to more than 125 participating members, adding
features and cutting edge hardware as the exchange continues to
develop its critical role in the US and global Internet peering and
Internet exchange point infrastructure.
The Any2
Exchange is a neutral, privately-owned packet and Internet exchange,
providing a high performance Internet peering facility for
participants. Any2
Exchange membership is open to all networks, either within a CRG
West facility or outside of our facilities, which can benefit from
peering their IP or VoIP traffic, IPv6, as well as content
delivery, disaster recovery, and gaming traffic. Our objective is to
provide high-speed, reliable and resilient Internet peering, and
Internet exchange facilities at the lowest possible cost to members.
Initially installed at One Wilshire (Los Angeles) and Market Post
Tower (San Jose), the Any2
Exchange allows participants to route IP traffic efficiently;
providing faster, more reliable and lower-latency internet or VoIP
access to their customers. Any2 has now expanded to
additional CRG West data center facilities, including those in
Miami, Washington DC, Boston, and Chicago. We'll soon have
Any2 Exchange switches in Reston (Virginia) and New York.
Take
a look around the Any2 Exchange website and
consider how we may be able to help your Internet-connected business
reduce operational costs, improve network performance, assist
with your IPv6 strategy, and add another layer of network
resilience. We strive to live by our motto "A Better Internet
by Design...," offering members not only a world class exchange
platform, but also a forum to discuss new ideas, visions, and
planning for a better Internet.
